“You shall obtain all you ask of me by the recitation of the Rosary.” Our Lady to Blessed Alan de la Roche
The Rosary Society formally began at Saint Michael Parish in October of 1941 and has continued to be a very active ministry. United in prayer and devotion to Our Blessed Mother Mary, and with her as their example, the women of the Rosary Society are pledged to serve the Altar of the Church. Fr Marc is the group's spiritual advisor and they are grateful for his caring support and guidance.
The Rosarians are supportive of Saint Michael Parish both financially and through volunteer activities, such as:
New members bring us such joy. Please know that you are welcome to join us at our next event to learn more about us and join this wonderful ministry.
The Cranford High School Madrigals bless us with their angelic voices at our Advent Rosary Service on December 9. We are grateful they share their gifts from God with us to make our Rosary event extra special. Their voices lifted our prayers and filled our hearts. We will pray the Rosary each Monday in Advent (December 2, 9, 16 and 22) at 7 p.m. in the church.
Commemorating over 80 years, the Rosary Society held its Communion breakfast on November 3. Our keynote speaker, Carmen Garcon, author of Spiritual Immunity, Exaltation of the Holy Cross shared her faith story.
We were blessed to welcome new members, in the presence of the whole parish community, at 10:30 a.m. Mass.
On October 12, we gathered at Roosevelt Park for the annual Rosary Rally. Sponsored by America Needs Fatima, it was one of over 20,000 rallies held across the United Sates on the day to join us in prayer for our Nation. Join us next year for this beautiful event Honoring Our Lady and her impact on our nation.
The Rosary Society partnered with youth in Religious Education to celebrate Our Lady in a special way. We created a “Living Rosary.” Each bead was represented with a candle. As we prayed, the church lit up with the light of Christ. We love teaming up with other ministries to share our faith.
A furry visitor delighted us at our Palm Sunday Babka Sale. This tradition bring us such joy as we greet Parishioners and friends.
The pinnacle annual event for the Rosary Society is the May Crowning of Our Lady to signify her as Queen of Heaven and the Mother of God. This year’s devotion was a beautiful event for the Parish and ended with fellowship and refreshments.
This spring we visited San Alfonso Retreat house in Long Branch for a day of prayer and reflection. The shore is such a beautiful and peaceful setting to connect with the Lord and each other. We had a lovely day together.
In June, we enjoyed a lovely dinner at Venue 104 in Cranford to celebrate a wonderful year and welcome our newly-installed officers. It is truly a gift to be able to celebrate together. Everyone had a lovely evening and we are already looking forward to next year.
