Meet Rich and Valeria

Rich is the Coordinator of Youth Ministry here at St. Mikes YM.  Rich grew up in Cranford – a 1991 Grad of CHS and St. Mikes was his parish growing up!   After college, Rich was the Youth Minister for 14 years at St. Theresa’s in Kenilworth where he oversaw the High School and Jr. High Youth Ministry Programs and coordainted several parish ministries.   This is his 14th year now as the Coordinator of Youth Ministry here at St. Michaels.  All together Rich has been working in Youth Ministry for close to 30 years!

Rich is also the Associate Director of Youth Ministry in the Archdiocesan Youth Ministry Office.  He oversees Special Events, Catholic Boy & Girl Scouting, Trainings, Social Media/ Communications, and their Summer Camp.  In this position he helps bring hundreds of teens together from throughout the Archdiocese for “mega” youth gatherings or events, helps train youth workers to go back to their parishes and coordinate youth ministry programs, and crafts the social media and web presence for the Office.   During the summer months he coordinates  the Archdiocesan Summer Camp program, overseeing a staff of 45, a group of 50 teen volunteers and over 400 children ages 5 to 12.    

An avid Yankees, Giants and Devils fan Rich resides in Rahway, with his two children Abby and Emily.
